Flashing your BIOS (Fortnite & Valorant)

Important (PLEASE READ)

  • In every case, always downgrade first.

  • Make sure you downgrading to a version PRE 2022 IF YOU ARE ON ASUS!

  • If you have the lowest version without any possibility to downgrade further, then you may proceed to upgrade by only one version.

Identify your Motherboard

  1. Search up on task bar "System Information"

  2. Find "Baseboard Product" and "Manufacturuer"

  3. Please note these and make sure you remember them

Downloading the BIOS Update

  1. Go to your internet browser Google/Edge

  2. Search up your BaseBoard Product and Manufacturer (basically copy what what those say on your system info) Example: System Manufacturer: ASRock Baseboard Product: B550M-C Final Result on your browser: ASRock B550M-c and search that up

  3. Click on the link that matches your motherboard info Then go to Downloads/Support section.

Select BIOS/Drivers (sometimes option can only just be BIOS)

Now download a newer or older BIOS version than your current one.

Extract Bios File to USB

  1. Back up important files from the USB drive.

  2. Format to FAT32 or Large FAT32.

    1. If you cant format to FAT32: Click here to view.

  3. Extract BIOS files to USB drive.

Flashing the BIOS

  1. Restart and enter BIOS usually during startup by pressing F2, F12, or Del.

  2. Find BIOS update option (e.g., EZ Flash, M-Flash).

  3. Select USB drive with BIOS file.

  4. Confirm and wait for completion.
